Why won't any prominent historians openly debate the Holocaust? If it really happened, should be an easy debate. They could settle this whole holocaust denial problem real quick.

I get it. They won't debate it because when scrutinized, the holocaust is a ridiculous fairytale.

I'm more interested in hearing the different reasons given for avoiding such a debate. What are some of the mainstream reasons for not participating in such a debate?

Edit: I'll be more clear. I want to hear all the disingenuous reasons given. I want to make a list.
