Eratosthenes analyzed the observations with the assumption that the earth is a sphere and the sun is very far away. The geometry of the situation is sketched at the right. He concluded that the circumference of the earth was about 50 times greater than the distance from Alexandria to Aswan. His results and modern results agree within about 10%.

So if we invoke Eratosthenes's assumption, we'd have to deny NASA claim.
Let's look at Eratosthenes's experiment with different assumptions.
Eratosthenes' model depends on the assumption that the sun is far away and therefore produces parallel rays of light all over the earth. If the sun is nearby, then shadows will change length even for a flat earth. A flat earth model is sketched at the right. The vertical stick casts shadows that grow longer as the stick moves to the left, away from the closest point to the sun. (The sun is at height h above the earth.)

The contradiction:
We can not simultaneously accept an experiment based on parallel rays to prove the earth is a ball while accepting the umbra during an eclipse is caused by rays that do not run parallel.

But it's pretty telling wouldn't you say, that bringing attention to a basic contradiction would get the negative attention we see with this subject. This place is a designed echo chamber. They want to keep our red pills, that are naturally going to sound anti-semitic, in a tight little box closed off from the world. They promote and often post extreme anti- semitic content with no real meat keeping this place unapproachable to the normie. So the kikes are fine with us sharing information with a group that already knows it. That's what they built this place for. What they can't have is people questioning flat earth here. The subject implicates something more than just "kikes being kikes." It suggests a much larger conspiracy. The Bible tells us of Babylon.
