While most of our pages are available in a version of latimes.com created for European Union users, some are currently unavailable. We are engaged on the issue and committed to identifying technical compliance solutions to this problem. Thanks for your interest in the Los Angeles Times.

The site almost works, the application it loads to read the article seems to fail.

When i lived in Parker, AZ in the 1880's, I found an entrance to the catacombs just outside of town. I had recently dismissed such talk during a lunch in Ft. Stockton, TX ( sure do get around). The local guy talked about several entrances in and around town. Sounded like nonsense until the day I entered Parker's "abandoned copper mine". Not a copper mine but an entrance to some damn place far underground.

Several native American tribes have legends of having originated underground. Beats me.

The Hopi claim they came from the ground. The pre-Aztec claimed to have gone into the ground to hide from cataclysmic events. Cultures the world over have vast tunnel systems. From time to time you read about them briefly, but the stories never gain traction in the mainstream media and get washed away with the tides of time.

The hopi built some cool shit in their day.

Yeah, well. He lived there in the 1880s, before it was cool!

Parker is one square mile of an indian reservation. On one side is the icy cold Colorado River where my dad and I used to go tubing. In the 1980's. So yes I am a geezer, a geezer who lived in 20 states plus Britain. Done a whole lotta living, young man.

PS: Stay young. This old age sucks all the time.

This 'Analog' guy goes through thousands of old news papers and pulls out these types of stories all the time. History is not what we think it is. He makes videos of himself reading the stories and posting any images they might have.

History is not what we think it is.

Aren't original sources fun?

There's a guy who goes through some real ancient stuff looking for White's history without the jewish lens. It's a difficult thing so he only has so many videos. I very much recommend his "Conspiracy? Our subverted history" series.

The fact they called the 300 years of history the dark ages as Europe was kicking ass and taking names tells you all you need to know
