My thoughts on Christianity

submitted by anon to AnonTalk 1.8 yearsSep 11, 2023 19:34:39 ago (+1/-4)     (AnonTalk)

It's concerning how some people let a single book control their entire lives, especially when that book has some pretty strange rules in it. When you really think about it, the idea of a higher power doesn't make much sense. We're just a bunch of molecules that will eventually break down and get eaten by bugs, so why would an all-powerful God create such a huge universe with billions of galaxies and celestial objects, but then only focus on Earth and say that the universe is only 6,000 years old? It just doesn't add up and makes you wonder if whoever wrote the Bible might have been smoking something.

But it's not just the questionable age of the universe that's problematic. The Bible also has a laundry list of weird rules that seem arbitrary at best. For example, it says that you can't get tattoos or eat certain kinds of seafood. It also says that you can't get a rounded haircut or beard, or have a vasectomy (because any injury to a man's private parts means he can't enter the "congregation of God"). Oh, and don't even think about consulting a psychic or gossiping, because those things are apparently sins too.

And let's not forget about the punishments for breaking these rules. If you're a child who curses your parents, the recommended punishment is death. If you're caught committing adultery, you're in trouble (and the definition of adultery in the Bible is pretty broad). And if you work more than six days a week, forget it--no working on the Sabbath allowed. Women aren't allowed to speak in the house of God, and if a woman grabs a man by his private parts, it's bad news (although cutting off her hand is apparently just fine).

It's time to start using our heads and questioning these outdated beliefs instead of just blindly following some old book. After all, it doesn't make sense to let a book control our lives when it's full of rules that seem arbitrary and punishments that seem cruel.

Through translation and purposeful misrepresentation, I admit the Bible can be hard to understand. But I assure you that the Bible specifically states that the world is flat and outer space does not exist as we are told. God made man in his image. Part of God's image is having free will and choosing righteousness. We won't all choose righteousness.

It's time to start using our heads and questioning these outdated beliefs instead of just blindly following some old book.

I'd agree. I've heard that there were over 500 books of scripture at one point. We're down to 66 of our canonical approved version today. This leaves out a lot of context.

This guy on this YouTube channel really digs into the Bible in its "lost" books. It explains a lot about our history and the current state of affairs we find ourselves in.

I would suggest watching his series "investigating Babylon." Even if only just to understand what the original story was and how the occult world ties into it. Because whether a person believes the Bible or not is really irrelevant, because there's powerful people in this world who do believe it, and they're not on the side of righteousness.

The series will touch on passages in the Bible and connect them to other historic documents from ancient cultures. He not only gives you the biblical aspect but the cultural aspect. Pretty interesting.

"Bible specifically states that the world is flat and outer space does not exist"

No it doesn't.

Not does it claim anywhere the earth is only 6000 years old. Young earthers and flattards claim that. The bible and a hell of a lot of Christians do not.

And no, I don't take "7 days" as literal days. I don't know what the original word used was but I'm betting there's a dozen current translations for it that don't mean a literal day, in the same vein "murder" somehow became "kill" somehow became "Christians aren't allowed to fight against an aggressor"

No it doesn't.

Yea it does. You've obviously never read it an have no idea what's in it. I linked a series that will show you what's in it but you obviously have an agenda here.

What many flat earthers may not realize is that Talmudic Judaism rejects anything deemed "Greek Wisdom" including aspects of modern science.

No. The talmud is based on Kabbalah. So is Greek culture. So is Egyptian culture. So is Samarian culture. So is Roman culture.

I'm not wondering why we have the eye of ra on the back of our dollar bill. I'm not wondering why we have idols like isis We called the Statue of Liberty. I'm not wondering why are Capital buildings are designed after Roman buildings. I'm not wondering why Freemasons that built this country use all the occult symbols they're using.

The whole story is about righteousness versus wickedness. If you can't recognize the difference between the talmud and the Torah than you are lost in the sauce.

I linked a series if you're interested is seeing what's in scripture. If you'd rather hear it second hand from talmudic priests, that's your choice.

The Talmud predates Kabbalah.

No. The talmud was an oral tradition. It was the teaching of Kabbalah passed down by word of mouth. The talmud is that tradition written down.

Kabbalah is basically Babylonian numerology mysticism and was spread from Talmudic Judaism.

The Bible is a story about about God's righteous ways versus man's free will and his ability to choose wickedness. The whole point of Jesus Christ was to return and correct the teachings. The first season of the religious teachers at the time were practicing the pagan religions that were all around them. What religion was that?? The Babylonian religion which is Kabbalah. These Israelites that were practicing these religions created the talmud. God has nothing to do with the talmud. That belongs to the evil jews that killed Jesus.

By the way, the word "jew" never appears in the Bible. His chosen people are the Israelites. The Israelites have a tribe called the tribe of Judah.

Back to the point, Talmudism promotes concepts like flat earth.

Sure. During Babylon, everybody knew the world was flat. Heliocentrism is relatively new. You can believe that it's old, I don't have that kind of faith in any of the institutions telling me this though.

Only when we get to the Torah and very specific literal interpretations through Talmudism

The Torah is God's law. The talmudic interpretation is what Jesus had a problem with. They killed him for teaching people the Torah outside the scope of their talmud.

but a large part of it is reactionary to Christianity.

Christianity is the belief that Jesus was born, tried to correct the teachings of the Pharisees, and they killed him for it. What teachings were they fucking up? They were practicing kabbalah and creating their own version of it called the talmud that corrupted God's law. Nothing has changed. Religion leaders are still corrupting his law.

Evidence points toward many contemporary cultures understanding that the earth is round.

No. It well documented. I can find references to the firmiment in encyclopedias from before the 60s. Heliocentrism is fairly new. But kikes will tell you otherwise.

The Old Covenant, fulfilled in Christ.

No. You still have to abide by the old covenant. It required sin offerings. Jesus took the place of sin offerings but you still need to live a righteous life and abide the old covenant.

Old earth vs young earth is a great topic, but I ultimately find the question isn't terribly important.

One could argue that but I would argue that learning our true history is what going set us straight.

And? You're supposed to follow the old testament

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 1 point 1.8 yearsSep 12, 2023 02:02:36 ago (+1/-0)

No, you're supposed to follow the new testament. The old testament is prelude, context, prophecy later fulfilled, and explains why the Jews had their "inheritance" taken away from them.

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished." Matthew 5:17

The old testament isn't fucked up. The Catholic Church just adopted Babylonian practices. Check out this guy's channel. He does an awesome job of looking up all the different translations and showing you what the Bible originally says.

I did. that's why I'm no longer an atheist.
