Not that the internet made these things possible, but I think 'social media' has thrown gasoline on something that had probably been just embers prior to things like Snapchat. There's a reason we have boundaries; there are reasons why we didn't facilitate unmitigated channels of private communication between anyone and everyone. Human beings are fallen. Civilization is a stacked series of boundaries we establish for turning coal into diamonds, so to speak. When you take away those boundaries, things will crumble.

The difference between men and women in this case is that society already had significant disincentives for men to do this, in the form of the differentially strict ways their predatory behaviors were handled criminally. A male pedophile's life gets absolutely destroyed. And the community of males at large is (or ought to be under normal circumstances) remarkably harsh against suspect males; this keeps men in line (to the extent it is feasible while preserving adequate freedom).

Women present a different story. The criminal code hasn't caught up, and neither has society for a whole slew of reasons. They tend to be viewed as 'receivers' of sexual advances, not the main principles of them. They're also typically viewed as less sexually motivated overall, i.e., their sex is kind of a negotiating factor or a mode of subservience. Well, now that's changing.

We're realizing pretty quickly that without adequate social boundaries in place, the female is as sexually predatory as any male is, and her particular mode of sexual predation could actually be a lot more insidious. With the male, his tendency to approach sex as conquest (as an outward social indicator of status) not only motivates him to be more public with his exploits, but also makes him more conspicuous.

For many reasons, the woman's - who can become outraged at any indication of distrust from her man: "No you can't check my phone you controlling prick!" - sexual pervisity can be a lot more secretive. I mean, it goes back to basic biology, folks. Not only that, but I tend to think that the stability of a woman's entire identity depends more on sexual validation than a male's (a man can satisfy his own needs for status in a number of ways, most of which are tightly watched by his male competitors).

That's not to say that a man can't be flattered by sexual validation, say, from a female student or something. Of course that happens. But not only do females present their own inrinsic challenges to his risk assessments, society in general is far better built to detect him. Society just isn't as built for detecting female promiscuity in these contexts. And sexual attention is to the female brain like crack is to a hopeless addict. Her avenues for the kinds of personal validation that really satisfy her are narrower than they are for a male; that is, women relate to sexual validation in a way that men don't, simpy by virtue of the fact that she depends upon it more than he does. Society rewards him for all sorts of other attributes, potentially.

With social media being a kind of subversive inroads into the minds of individuals in real time, at any time, her possibilities for the sum total of validation it is possible to receive have exploded. It's like the crackhead finding a warehouse full of crack.

If society does not do something to severely punish female infidelity, you can count on this problem getting much worse with time, to the point that the nuclear family expectation of the past will fade to nothing (which would greatly please the powers that be, too). Men will simply appraise their ability to trust women as next-to-nothing, and they'll have good reasons for it.

And it's just a fact of nature, as unfair as it is, that female fidelity is far more important to a society than male fidelity is. If women can't trust men, they'll cope. If men can't trust women, they already know they can't trust other men, so they'll just disperse and cease civilizing.

This fucks boys up a lot more than you would imagine. For one, she obviously didn't do it for him. She did it for the same reason all the other roasties do it- they have to convince themselves they aren't old and are still attractive. If they can get the pinnacle of their immature admiration- teen boys- to give them attention that's a huge ego burst. These women never grew emotionally past high school so in their minds they are getting affirmation from the good looking high school boy.

It's using children for your own selfish needs. Not only does it completely screw up his still maturing view of sex and relationships, it teaches him to be beholden to women. Not just women- old, selfish middle aged women, the worst type of woman there is.

I probably have an unpopular opinion here but I think we should be pairing up for life sometime around puberty and we have set ourselves up for this "normal" 15+ years of sexual immorality by pushing back "adulthood" to 18 and then 21 and now 30 at this point via various regulations and social norms. The Bible indicates a boy should meet a girl and leave his parents house so maybe becoming an "adult" should be happening more around 16 if not earlier and we should probably shift our educational system accordingly.
