Yeah, some people aren’t cut out for it. That’s ok, he'll do something else better than we can do it. I can actually work on mechanical stuff but I loathe it at this point in my life and I hire it done. I don’t even change my own oil anymore.

I don't change my own oil lol. Don't have a lift at home. Don't have big disposal tanks and I have to go drop that shit off at autozone. 2 hours going to buy oil, fucking around putting the car on jack stands, disposing of the oil, clean up etc its just not worth your time unless you're making like $25/hr or less.

It’s literally no cheaper than getting it done for you, and they can rotate your tires while it’s on the lift. I have all the tools, jack, air tools etc,. But I have gravel and it a bitch, not worth the trouble. Try dragging a floor jack around on gravel.

I have a nice air conditioned workshop and oil changes still aren't worth the trouble to me. If I had a two post lift and on site oil storage that's a different story. Just too damn easy then. One day I will probably get that setup.

Yep same. I get my truck done... 3 oil changes, tires rotated and computer check for $167... Just the oil and filter alone is that cost... Also if I had to rotate my tires it would take me all day

I remember being a dipshit newbie but thankfully I had a knowledgeable old timer who trained me. I absorbed that depth of knowledge like a sponge. Eventually he sent me in to complete jobs while he slept in the truck. Some younger guys are just hard headed or impatient know-it-alls. Same as it ever was.
