2) The DNC knows that the Biden brand is trash and there is no possible way that he can beat Trump in an election even if Trump is in jail.

And while we’re at it; there’s a lot of suspicion about what President Obama is currently doing. US presidents have a history of shutting up and leaving town once they’re out of office. It’s an American tradition. You let the new guy do his thing.

Mr. Obama has taken the unprecedented move of taking up residency in Washington DC and holding regular meetings at his house with White House officials. There’s more or less a news block out on this but if you search a little bit you can confirm it.
