I was aware that this move was coming out. I read the novel it was based on, "Poor Things" by Alasdair Gray, about 30 years ago and thought it was brilliant. It won the 1992 Whitbread award and the Guardian Fiction award. It's nothing short of brilliant. Gray was an exceptional writer and the best writer of Scottish literature during his lifetime. The novel was subtle, nuanced, very well researched, and used quite a number of sources, and conflates Mary Shelley (the author of "Frankenstein") and Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin. The male character of the novel is a man named Godwin, who in keeping with the reanimation theme, is sometimes references by the reanimated woman as "God".
This movie looks like an abomination and a desecration of the book. Avoid the movie at all costs, but definitely read the book. It's one of the best reads you'll ever enjoy.

Sounds like she understands that she's about to hit the wall full speed no brakes.
