Oh, there is plentiful and cheap energy. It's called nuclear. They just don't want you to have any. It's not about the planet. It's not about scarcity. It 100% is that they don't want you to have energy. Because if you had a nearly infinite supply of practically zero cost energy you could use it to pursue your agenda and not theirs. They don't even want you to have green energy. That's why they love it. There are so many valid reasons for it to not work at scale and well, so in the end they get to say you don't get energy, which is the only policy they care about.

Energy for humans is like feed to our ambition the same way as grain is feed to livestock. They've calculated the ideal amount of feed for you to have to be productive to their end and you aren't going to get more. They've realized the ideal is less than they have currently allotted, but they can't undo the technology that gives you your current ration, so they need a reason to remove the already nerfed technology they've allowed you to currently have.
