He should use a garlic grater and blend the garlic into a mix of butter and olive oil, season with salt and pepper and apply heavily to the bread. He is totally going about it the wrong way.

Roasting the garlic and then squeezing it into the butter with a little rosemary and pink salt for the win. Pepper? I'll try putting a little in next time. 👍
I started adding pepper to the garlic bread and grilled cheese sandwiches after this comment and I forgot to do it last night and instantly noticed it missing.
