i give them 6 boxes to choose from and they all insist on the same one. i’ve caught two in the same box and a third squawking because she demands the same box.
Higher tier birds will force birds 'lower on the pecking order' to take care of their eggs. I thought this was shared recently on voat but maybe I saw it somewhere else.
Sorry, I should have noted, this is a pic of my own chickens. I only have four chickens at this moment. Lost three this year. These four girls get along very well. The fact that these two shared the box today doesn’t surprise me. These two girls came from the same bunch last year, they are sisters.
