It's a Dollar General. I think I'm the only White person who shops at the Dollar General and that's because it's the only local store that sells off-brand petroleum distillates and the brand of menthol foot powder that works best for me.
Also, it's not really a convenience store, as they mention - unless it's a DGX. Otherwise it's a budget general store, like Family Dollar. Then you have the even lower tier Dollar Tree.
I spend $25/month + $5 fees on an unlimited data/talk/text plan and you can get a 5 year old laptop for under $150, and if you go back 10 years and just run a Linux distro that isn't multimedia focussed it can be $50 or less. I have 3 sitting around me right now that I don't use plus a netbook and a Chromebook. And I have another phone with a 5GB limit that's less than $20/month (that's the one I take with me when I need a phone away from home - I'm not taking my good phone that only cost less than $200 because I don't want to risk not having an internet phone.
