PINOCCHIO...AN FYI

The word for "pine (tree/wood" in Italian is "pino"...the word for "eye" in Italian is "ochio", as in "PINOCCHIO"...."PINE(WOOD) EYE"

PINOCCHIO'S father was "GEPPETO" which means in Italian, "God will increase". Geppeto is a short term for "GIUSEPPE" which means in Italian, "God will provide".
Giuseppe is the Italian form of "Joseph".

The biblical account of Jesus is one that depicts his father Joseph as a carpenter (one who works with wood excluding beavers).

Geppeto, or Giuseppe, was also a carpenter who introduced to the world a wooden (eyed) puppet free of strings, "of free will". But his lying was easily detected by an increase in nose length, after which, with excessive lying, the nose would extend to the point of a droop, or hook downwards.

There's a lot more to the "Pinochio" story than is obvious.

Anyone here of Italian roots to the "Old Country", like through grandparents, can dig into this history...according to my wife's parents who originated from the Abruzzo region of Italy, there are a few variations of the fable but nevertheless interesting history.

The correlation of Giuseppe and Joseph is an interesting one...lying, free will with no strings attached, carpentry, vision. It's all up to one's imagination.

Pine eye is likely a reference to the pineal gland, a pinecone shaped gland in the brain which has long been believed to be our link to the spiritual realm.

The movie also has an obvious reference to jewish child sex trafficking on pleasure island. Pinocchio also goes to the circus where he must deal with the long nosed elephants and the monkeys - jews and blacks. The long hooked nose being the result of lying is likely also a reference to jews with long hooked noses being liars. Pinocchio being a puppet, an artificial man, may also be a reference to the golem mythos (don't get me started on the metric fuckton of golem symbolism in both media and IRL (GOP = Golem of Prague, Prague-ressive movement, etc.)).

The author of the original story supposedly put a lot of political commentary into it - I haven't read it or read too deep into analysis of it, but it seems pretty likely that some of that commentary was about jews. I think there's a reason why jew-hating Walt released the movie in 1940, an election year where Americans were watching the war in Europe unfold and being asked to consider intervening.

You know, as a kid I really didn't give a fuck about the fairytale thing with the lying nose length and names of the subjects involved etc etc but as I aged and listened more to our elders, many are gone now, I got awakened to the correlations of life and the fables of the past....real interesting stories from way back.

Reminds me of the fact that the wood in the wand used by magicians is supposed to be Holly. Thus the term and neighborhood Hollywood takes on a more distinct meaning.

Other than the story itself from grade school back in the mid 60s I never read it but now I'm curious.

You’re taking highly from the movie. The book has a totally different / hugely different emphasis.

I can't believe that at this point in my life that I have an interest in Pinocchio...just for shits and giggling I queried to the link that someone posted in the comment, maybe it was you,and it went to Wikipedia and damn if it wasn't close to what I stated, a little less of a detailed perspective mind you but close...the message behind the animation is one of moral conduct in life that society today has drifted from ie being productive, honest and caring for our parents (elderly) and how daily life is filled with self orchestrated complexities and fuck ups of our own doing and the lies we use to rid ourselves of guilt and responsibility....something like that....but now I'm curious.

You should have an interest in all the original books the “original” Disney stole from and did their original psyop on the nation with. Disney aside from the original Mickey was always a psyop “rewrite house”.
