My avocado tree is ready to be picked. 🥑

A Puerto Rican lady came by and asked me if she could have a couple avocados off the tree. I let her pick a few and she told me about this drink she makes with them. It's some Spanish word that I don't remember but basically you put an avocado in the blender with some milk and sugar and blend it up. She said adding banana to it is good too. I tried some this morning for breakfast it was delicious. It tastes like a milkshake.

I'll never forget the first day banana came into my life. It was pureed, if you must know. Even now as I think about it, I find myself burping up some of the spaghetti sauce I had for dinner. It's not a big deal, I just wiped it on my bib.

Try an avocado, BLT wrap. Use whatever you want for the wrap. I use collard greens. They wrap well and you can grow them easy.

Collards are very fibrous and stringy. Mustard greens could be a good alternative and are much more tender.

I wish I lived in an area that could grow citrus and avocado, then remember how much I can’t stand the heat almost all year. Moving to the Carolinas was hot enough for me.
