Was guessing that Putin would just go after Prigozhin individually. Russian political killings are usually pretty specific like that.

Until it's proven otherwise, I assume that the "coup" was nothing more than a strategic repositioning of Wagner forces towards the north so Russian regulars could take over defensive positions in the south.

I find it extremely weird that he was still flying into Russia, even reportedly meeting with Putin. That this was a psyop by Putin and Prigozhin doesn't seem believable -- way too risky for a real rebellion to spark.

I have to conclude he was an idiot, and thought it would blow over after he agreed to end his Thunderun on Moscow. Even if Putin (unlikely, but let's roll with it) decided to let it slide, the military was pissed, and "accidents" happen.
