This is correct, that the resemblance was intentional.

MARGLES comes from magic man's nightmares and she does turn on him. This act drives magic man further into his madness.

It's a good representation of what treachery, betrayal, and despair can come from even the best of intentions.

It also shows what can happen when a creator isn't properly regulated by others. The solo creator can easily screw everything up and destroy an entire civilization all while trying to help save it.

Satan will offer a simple solution yet betray you in the end, and emotions that are unchecked can lead to ruin. Satan manipulates you through your emotions.

Magic man duped himself.

Wizard city is a secret society in itself, which has various smaller cults within. Ice King is threatened for trying to go against the status quo, which is often how these societies operate. The wizards in the secret society depicted are fools being used by an ancient being named Bella Noche. Bella Noche is an anti-magic being which has the one goal of destroying all magic in the world, to destroy all the secret cults.

The attempt Bella Noche makes in the show ultimately fails, but the intention that she wants to destroy the source of these evil cults is made clear. She will use their own useful idiots to get any chance she can to succeed.

Bella Noche and wizard city demonstrate how daunting a task it is to destroy the source of a great evil.

Magic in general is shown as a negative but powerful force in this series. The three tradeoffs for magical power in the land of OOO are never worth the power attained by the person in question. Every magic user in OOO has a terrible life outside of their magical abilities and serves as a tale of caution. Sure you can gain great power, but the depths you must go to attain it are never worth it.

Excellent analysis. I still don't get how margles would fend off Golb. I thought Golb was the devil. Also do you have any other analysis of the show or other episodes?

[ - ] Her0n 1 point 1.7 yearsAug 24, 2023 00:45:46 ago (+1/-0)

MARGLES could never defeat Golb. Gold is entropy incarnate. Even Satan shows signs that he must follow the rules of entropy. Without existence, how could a spiritual concept thrive?

Margles wanted to get what Satan always wants, a foothold in our world from which to rule. She got that, and immediately turned on her creator.

I watch the show often and plan to have conversations with my kids about the concepts shown. We lived through a golden age of American animation in the 90s and 00s and I think child media today doesn't capture it.

Bring up an episode and I'll gladly talk about it. I like discussing media like this.

What was blank eyed girl about

[ - ] Her0n 1 point 1.7 yearsAug 24, 2023 18:55:33 ago (+1/-0)*

I've never given that one much deep thought. I like high strangeness like that for the mystery of it all.

My initial thoughts here;

I've noticed reference to the 2007 and 2011 videos of the Fresno Nightcrawler

There is reference to Tulpas, a Tibetan Buhddist belief in manifestations of collective human "thought" concepts. We all have a fear of obscured faces, long black matted hair obscures ones face well. The wet hair adds more disgust and you can understand why this imagery would have been seen and feared by some.

These girls are definitely Tulpas, they arrived after Starchy planted the concept in the minds of his listeners. Starchy is responsible for this! As long as you'd pay attention to it, you "feed" it with your fear of it.

I think ultimately this episode was trying for a mystery where Finn and Jake face a challenge to their emotional maturity. These girls (Tulpas) are no real threat to our heroes so the guys stay their hand while they try to identify this strange creatures. Attempting to identify the creature in order to restore normalcy only exacerbates the situation by inviting more girls into the treehouse. Once Finn figures out the mystery, thanks to Starchys show, Finn conquers his fear of them and is left alone by the girls. Jake stays fearful and the girls swarm him until he gets help to calm himself. Once the guys control their emotional state the blank eyed girls try to creep the heroes out again by faking them into a false sense of security with the "normal" girl look, then swapping to the Fresno Nightcrawler shape, a cryptid I remember seeing as it unfolded on the internet. I always loved cryptids because I find them fun and imaginative, so this was a nostalgic Easter egg where I would've been possible to creep out a little. Then the Tulpas get stranger and stranger until they finally "die" and turn into seeds. I think the seeds are a metaphor about rebirth, Tulpas can't die, they just follow a natural cycle because humans face different collective problems through time.

I watched the episode before I typed this and looked up what I remember from my personal life.

What do you make of the episode?

Blank eyed girls are therefore two thing: a) they are exactly what Finn believed them to be, parasitic spores that survives off people's fear/beliefs, or b) things created by Finn and Jake's imaginations who like the the previous episodes suggests, are very powerful and therefore are very capable of change.

They can easily change form to get what they need to survive, but even in their death throes they were still non-violent. That's a part that interests me.

[ - ] anon 3540533 [op] 0 points 1.7 yearsAug 25, 2023 19:07:42 ago (+0/-0)

Its so weird though. I thought they were ghosts but we see ghosts already depicted in the show like in the heat signature episode or the ghost with the drop ball addiction or ghost princess

[ - ] Her0n 0 points 1.7 yearsAug 25, 2023 20:09:57 ago (+0/-0)

They try vampire rules, that fails.
They try fairy rules, that also fails.
They weren't ghosts either, the characters resolved that possibilty.

The most accurate in universe answer is Tulpas.

An interesting idea to bring up in a kids show. Adventure time was a perfect cartoon for these esoteric concepts.

Adventure Time's target audience is not young children though?
Show is hilarious.

[ - ] Her0n 1 point 1.7 yearsAug 23, 2023 00:18:09 ago (+1/-0)

The show grew up with its audience, like many that run long do. Season one and two are very childish, as the seasons continue the show matures with its characters and audience. I'll have the show play in the background when I clean my workshop up, music distracts me too much. I usually start mid season two or the beginning of three because of that.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. One of the few adult cartoons that I thought was funny.

[ - ] Her0n 5 points 1.7 yearsAug 23, 2023 00:20:50 ago (+5/-0)

I don't see the issue with the satanic imagery. Everything related to it is a negative in the show.

MARGLES fucks over Magic Man because his emotions manipulated himself into creating a monster. He made a deal with Satan to see his lost love after trying every other avenue available to him, and his civilization was destroyed for it.

The story fits the imagery that Satan will trick you through emotional manipulation.

It's a cautionary tale.

Many people here though just see the imagery and flip out, showing how easy a target they would be for Satan.

Steel yourselves, Satan cannot control a stable heart.

If you're not studying the occult shit that's hidden in plain sight, you're not fighting against the jews.

[ - ] anon 3671282 0 points 1.7 yearsAug 23, 2023 15:09:08 ago (+0/-0)

Sounds like an excuse to spend all your time watching jewish media to me

[ - ] anon 3352088 -1 points 1.7 yearsAug 23, 2023 15:36:17 ago (+0/-1)

Most people are still watching jewish media anyway. If you're not, cool, but make sure you're exploring spirituality and mysticism, and think outside the jew book.

[ - ] anon 3671282 -1 points 1.7 yearsAug 23, 2023 21:49:16 ago (+0/-1)

Just because you know it's propaganda doesn't mean it can't influence you. Stop watching that garbage. There's nothing spiritual about what you're doing. Are you like 20 years old? Most people get out of their dumb phase of believing in stuff like paganism and magic by their early 20s if not by the end of middle school.

[ - ] anon 3352088 -1 points 1.7 yearsAug 23, 2023 22:02:35 ago (+0/-1)

The richest and most powerful people in the world do larpy rituals at cern and bohemian grove. The richest and most powerful people in the world use astrology and numerology to decide when they're going to pull major world events. The richest and most powerful people in the world hide their occult kabbalistic symbolism in plain sight all around you BECAUSE IT WORKS.

Either you develop a proper defense against it - something christcuckery cannot do for you, because it was made by jews to keep you from exploring true spirituality - or you will be controlled by jews. Going to church and reading the bible is no different from watching hollywood crap, but it is very different from meditating and harnessing your chi.

[ - ] anon 3671282 -1 points 1.7 yearsAug 23, 2023 22:23:03 ago (+0/-1)

Just because they think it's real doesn't mean it's actually real. It's probably all the jew propaganda that's made you into an edgy fag who hates Christ to begin with. I bet you hated Christianity long before you were redpilled. Its always the same story with you fags.

Only chinks and dumb hippies believe in shit like chi. Which one are you?

[ - ] anon 3352088 0 points 1.7 yearsAug 23, 2023 22:27:17 ago (+0/-0)

So you literally worship the king of the jews, a dude from bethlehem in judea who was descended from all the same old jews like david and moses that jews still worship today.... but people who believe there may be more to spirituality than what the lying kikes forced your ancestors to worship are dumb? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Fucking christcucks are seriously the dumbest mother fuckers.
