I have two comments:

1. The relatively bottom tier drones on amazon can basically do this function. And when I say bottom tier I mean you are not going to be spending a lot of money, while this is relatively expensive to go along with the claim its doing something novel.

2. The cage concept is actually good for an autonomous drone that might be following you around trees.

Really the cage is the only thing it has going for it over a lot of cheap stuff on Amazon. Not the camera, not the follow feature. That's practically standard these days even for chinesium. But is that worth ~$275 in extra value? For that I'd make my own cage. Chicken wire is thinner and lighter anyway.

A $350 USD selfie video drone, just what we all need.

when i saw this i thought the uses for law enforcement. imagine in a future where instead of probation you will have one of these following you everywhere you go. just think about it.

the peeping toms will also have a field day with this product

20 years ago Tom Selleck of all people played a policeman in the future and they had a camera that would go into houses that looked exactly like this. Literally they had drones in that movie before they were drones and the design was pretty much exactly this. I don't remember the name of the movie but if you go to IMDb and look up Tom Selleck it's probably the only science fiction movie he was ever in.

Have you heard how loud drones are though? Even the smaller ones sound like a loud angry swarm of bees. Seems like for a peeping tom to get close enough to a subject to make it worth filming, it would be insanely obvious that there's a drone there. And it would likely be in reach of someone who could do something about it.

honestly i'm oblivious to the tech since i have never have one. but yeah the tech can be used for nefarious purposes

Sure it's compact, but I'd use a traditional drone-with-camera since it's going to have longer flight time and be better made.
