Looking for work out of NY is fucking depressing

submitted by TheNoticing to whatever 1.7 yearsAug 21, 2023 09:19:17 ago (+9/-2)     (whatever)

I rarely get even a rejection email. I want to get away for more reasons than one - one of my certificates expires next month, just found out last week that one of the owners of the company I work for used to be a fed and was recently arrested. That's probably gonna ruin the reputation of an already shitty company. Oh and it's like one of those black companies in Japan, where they treat you like shit and make you work overtime, but I'm guessing our laws here are more strictly enforced, so we do get paid for overtime, just in cash that we deposit in the (((bank))).

I just wanna move down south. 😓

Stop wasting time. Load up your shit and get your ass to the south.
Leave any damn yankee tendencies up there. Come ready to embrace southern living and lifestyle.
Get online and find southern small towns that have factories in and around them.
My county has around 70,000 people in it. We have between 20 to 30 good sized factories pumping out loads of products. The one where I work is the largest supplier of our product in the whole country.
The pay will definitely be a lot lower than you are used to But the cost of living is also. With the same money you spend on a place to live you can have a place to live, pay all your utilities, And buy food for the month.
The most important thing will be you will be surrounded by people that Love their country and are willing to fight to the death to get it back!

are willing to fight to the death to get it back

Great! When are they going to start?

That sounds more realistic, sadly.

Only if you have zero skills/value.

I've never had issue finding work as an electrician.

[ - ] Her0n 0 points 1.7 yearsAug 22, 2023 00:48:09 ago (+0/-0)

If you have no skills then yeah, but if you actually have value the story is way better.

Dude, I don't have any Yankee tendencies. I'd rather live close to the Amish than here.

And I don't have the money to just leave. I need to figure out the logistics first.

Oh, and I cannot do manual labor. If I was, I would have moved a while ago. If there's office work that doesn't require an associates that needs to get done, I can probably do it.

Yeah, that's fine. Make sure you listen to the "fellow White people" on here. They're right. Too many niggers and wet backs in the south. It's no place for you. Stay there where you are.

NYC is one of the communist strongholds in the country.

Just got back from a trip to upstate New York. They drive way better than anybody in the south; keep that tendency.

Till they get to Florida then they go 30 mph in the left lane looking for their hotel or a restaurant

[ - ] Spaceman84 2 points 1.7 yearsAug 21, 2023 10:47:09 ago (+3/-1)

Fuck off Jew Yorker. Yankees aren't wanted here.

It's too bad the holocaust didn't happen, the world would have been better off with 6 gorillion fewer kikes.

A black company (ブラック企業, burakku kigyō), also referred to in English as a black corporation or black business, is a Japanese term for an exploitative, sweatshop-type employment system.

Sounds like you need to develop some valuable skills. Can you increase someones profits by multiples? A cut of that could be yours. Don't choose wage slavery or you're going to have a hard time.

Florida is awful this time of year and we all carry guns

I've lived in DC/NYC/Boston, and I've lived in Atlanta (as well as some western states). South, at least GA and the surrounding states, suck. It'll take seconds to have nigger fatigue here. I arrived without a good understanding of racism, now I'd gladly end that race if it were within my ability.

Look west. Boise, ID is exploding right now but there are lots of places with opportunity. Avoid the Front Range of CO (CO Springs to Ft Collins).

I'm sick of snow, too. I think Colorado is a no-go for me.

Make sure your resume is up on sites like Indeed. I had to slog through weeks of applying with no success, until one day a recruiter for a temp agency called me out of the blue because she'd seen my resume on one of those sites. Some jobs are temp-to-hire. Been there ever since.

[ - ] TheNoticing [op] 1 point 1.7 yearsAug 21, 2023 13:05:51 ago (+1/-0)

It was only one, but I had a shit experience with a temp agency. Robert Half - Office Team, because they're awful. I need the security of a direct hire.
