The Covid-19 debacle and everything related to it (incl. vaccine) is probably the most egregious. So much of this is time-sensitive, though. If it was 2003, I'd say 9/11. But part of your question asked which one made us shake our head the most. The absolute stupidity of the Covid hoax trounces the 9/11 lie, in my opinion. I don't think people who believed 9/11 (at the time) were drooling morons. But you see, believing these lies gets worse as time goes on. The more you see, the more pathetic it is that you don't wake up. Even normies had no excuse when it came to Covid. It attacked the white, western world specifically, and none of the enforced measures could even be granted a priori plausbility as effective pandemic protocols. Cloth masks for a highly contagious virus about a micron in size. A vaccine that was tested on humans (at least according to the article authors in JAMA) for sixty days before mass deployment, for a bad flu. My God, it still boils my blood to this day.

You had to be really, really stupid to go for it. But, I remember the situation at Voat in early in 2020 very well. A lot of goats would probably rather forget it. I remember being skeptical of Covid in January of 2020, and I remember talking about the fact that a vaccine would be coming down the pipe (along with mail-in voting) while most of Voat was declaring the apocalypse had arrived: a Chinese bioweapon was going to end it all. I recall being insulted for a few months before skepticism finally took hold here. There were guys warning me that I was dead if I didn't have all my bugout, endtimes shit in order. The level of retardation at Voat at that time was pretty embarrassing.

(Also, I expected to see the climate crisis on this list; if I had to say what will have the most obvious long-term effects, I'd go with that one.)
