I am familiar w all the philosophers. Some more than others. And I more consider myself a Taoist more than a Stoic. but they are just Japanese Stoics and I just happened to come across them before I found the Stoics.

Stoics resonate because I'm German/Scotch. But the Tao has something that touches the natural world more than the stoics. I love the Stoics, but I love the Taoists just a little more. It's a nature thing. Taoist are dragon flies. Stoics are bullfrogs
