American Moon is a great doc. But it doesn't mean the erf is flat. NASA are liars sitting back collecting trillions while making fake videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpuKu3F0BvY

I found myself arguing with one of the Youtube retards.

@mrdavester Well, testimony isn't great evidence if there is motivation for conspiring among those giving the testimony. Second, what's 'all' this evidence you're referring to? Third, what actually is the rational plausibility? A lot of things are plausible to occur which have never occurred: they may in the future, and they may not. The point isn't about possibility, but whether an actual event occurred at a particular time in history. You could just as easily be operating under the confirmation bias you speak of here, i.e., hearing from Aldrin what you want to hear to confirm your own beliefs. The fact is that the question as to why we have not returned is extremely pertinent and extremely suggestive.

The 'money' answer is almost completely nonsensical, given the value of the vast resources that we would stand to gain by establishing a pipeline of materials exchange between earth and the moon. Also, it's amazing how we can come up with money for foreign aid by printing it out of thin air, but we're always fiancnially limited when it comes to the moon - to the cash cow that would undoubtedbly be an earth-moon economy. The U.S. has spent $113 billion supporting Ukraine, which is around 44% of the total amount (adjusting for inflation) spent on the Apollo missions *across 13 years of operation. So, we've spent 44% of the total cost for a 13-year space program in a single year on a foreign war, with questionable benefits to us. The U.S. spent over $6 trillion dollars in 2022. Just the Helium-3 on the lunar surface (totally excluding the rest of the highly valuable material there) is estimated to be worth $13 quadrillion dollars. For reference, that's 520 times the U.S. (2022) GDP. So, over five centuries' worth of the current U.S. economy is contained on the moon in the form of a single element. The question, "Why haven't we been back?," looms very large, and there isn't a very good answer. It's actually monstrously stupid to think that, if we could go there (or that we have been there), that we wouldn't have been back and established an earth-moon economy by this time (five decades later).

He's obviously saying "we didn't go there after the missions ended"

Man, flat earthers will try anything.

He was answering her question. Why haven't we been there in so long? Well because it just didn't happen. Referring to why we haven't been back.

Just because no one landed on the moon doesn't mean the moon doesn't exist, or that the world is a damn envelope.

Oh you mean the moon rocks that were analyzed and determined to be of terrestrial origin? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/space/6105902/Moon-rock-given-to-Holland-by-Neil-Armstrong-and-Buzz-Aldrin-is-fake.html
