Sure is. Last time I did it was around y2k. Only go to Helen now for Christmas gifts or if passing through on motorcycle. A fun river is the Ocoee if you're into kayaking or rafting.

It's funny I don't have a canoe, but my gf's parents have enough canoes for all of us. We take them out sometimes. My dog loves riding in it.
