Many years ago, I had inherited some money from a relative. Because the relative died abroad, the IRS claimed I owed them 70% (over 75,000$) of the take because I failed to report the money as being from another country. This is on top of the source country having robbed 80% of the net proceeds. Of the close to 1 mm that was inherited, I was left with around 35,000 once all the different thieves were done with it.
When you account for taxes, fees, accounting fees, audits, etc the amount of taxes people pay is easily 75% or more of their take home income.
Every time I look at my paycheck it swells my hatred of them and their thieving kike ways. I am not getting what I'm paying for and I want my money back when it comes to taxes.
They are thieves but trying to demonstrate the rate of theft while using an example of being penalized doesn't drive the nail home like you intended. I'd like to know how they realized money you reported as income was from a different source than you provided.
One of my family members ratted me out to the IRS (I clearly dont talk to these people anymore). They hated that an inheritance was left to me, so they told the IRS/notified them it was illegal, and then the IRS went on to audit 7+ years of my life
Amazingly I still have idiots to this day giving me the whole "theyre your parents" trope as if being my parent means you can completely screw me over and get away with it
Throw in all the taxation every step of the way from production to consumption. And the extreme drain on civilization taxation has. It's closer to 99%.

Then deposit the money into my current bank account when I visited that country.
I think the current amount you can deposit without the 👃 sniffing it is 10k or just under per day.

My method is to buy land with no utilities and provide my own. I still have to pay property tax.
I grow almost all of my food, rarely work a taxable job. Still have to pay for the privilege to work.
I have no chance of any inheritance, because my parents are financial retards. I'll probably never face a problem like OPs
