There's a reason amphibious aircraft aren't really used much. We've been able to build them for a long time. Bodies of water get choppy and even a little of that makes for a terrible runway going up or down. And all the engineering that went into making it swim makes it worse for all the flying and taxiing. It will probably be a great niche airplane though.

Well it is a niche airplane, its a water bomber which can scoop up water at almost flying speed.

Never in a million years did I think I'd see a large aircraft taxi into the water, float around, then proceed to take off.

Side note, I wonder how much fuel it burns during water takeoff due to the "rolling" resistance.
