When I was growing up, I predicted that stereotypical Halloween creatures like vampires, werewolves, and zombies would become popular. I fucking hate all three and fucking hated that I was right.

Correct, Dracula and Evil Dead were hits, with the latter being a commentary on the masses. You also had Sam Raimi's Evil Dead franchise later. Yes, all of these were "popular", but they were mostly one-offs; my point was that they didn't completely saturate the mainstream multimedia market until way later, and I saw it coming because it was the kind of stuff that social outcasts would obsess about. I simply pointed at a group of them once and said to my friends: "That shit is going to be everywhere in a few years", and it was.

I say we take the big german bucket cranes and mining gear and we just split mexicali into 3 or 4 islands and turn them into leper colonies for the various gays; lesbos in the north, gays in the middle and troons and the "+"s on island 3 in the south.
