I found out my coworker’s brother died in a plane crash today.

submitted by Gigglestick to TellTalk 9 monthsAug 12, 2023 00:51:21 ago (+20/-1)     (TellTalk)

He was 24, kid worker is 19.

He was in flight school.

People started trying to figure out what could’ve happened.

The usual - wind gusts, faulty machinery, heart attack…

I almost asked “was he vaccinated” during this whole thing but I didn’t want to be the guy to do that since I’m pretty new to the company.

Anyway… I’m guessing one of that’s what happened. They seem like the type of family to have 3+ boosters.

Nothings better for pain than humor. I had a cousin playin triple aaa baseball. He was a pitcher. He had a shit game. We were out eating afterwards and the family was kinda comforting him. I looked him in the face and said dude you sucked tonight. He laughed. We all feel better.

Praying for him.

The brother was most likely attended college and was vaccinated.

You fucker. I was gonna crack a joke, but you ruined it. It was gonna be really funny, but now it'll be like a fart in church. Thanks a lot.

The coworker is a good kid. He has a good heart, going to school to be a chef, and will be great if he can intertwine scholastic and realistic aspects of the industry. I hope he doesn’t sink into depression. I’m not sure how close they were

😂 All of our group is already there. Little brother is gonna be hurting for awhile, if not the rest of his life.

I love dead vaxxtards. If I could boost them 100 times I would. These idiots would lynch anything they don't understand......because they don't understand it. We'll be better with them DEAD.

Shame the kid died so young, but it's not a bad way to die. Lingering and dying slowly in some shit pit nursing home "cared for" by niggers is a bad way to die.

Plane crashes are always researched to identify the cause, read for updates later. Small planes crash frequently, usually because the pilots take undue risk.

No way in hell I would ever go up in a single engine plane. Those things crash all the time and there is NO recourse when the engine dies other than trying to glide somewhere and it rarely works. Double engine planes actually have a higher crash rate but that's because people don't know how to accommodate for an engine failure. It's more work but it's safer if you know what you're doing and are comfortable with them.

He's complaining about the work but if that entire engine had died, which plane would you rather be in.

I've spotted some sketchy ones that had some unanswered questions. There was one where a Canadian dude flew from an island in one of the great lakes into America without flight following or anything. Plane got found the next morning crashed off to the side of a runway at an airport that had at least private flights. Dude apparently flew in at night and didn't do the thing with the radio to turn on the runway lights and missed the runway. I'm thinking because he had entered the country in secret that he was up to no good, moving money south or picking up stuff to move north but I can't find an update nearly a decade later.

What a fuck up! That should never happen to a student.
