I don't know much about it but it is interesting. If it's not mark of the beast, end of days stuff, it could be a legitimate attempt at a ubi. The problem with crypto is you can't stop people from creating unlimited addresses and pretending each is an individual person. So if you were going to start universal basic income with people, how can you guarantee an address is a unique person and that unique person has no other addresses. This way, in theory, you could send that person's money to just them.

Maybe a little devil's advocate since all I see with this are the end days posts--which it's definitely good to be concerned.

The true end days won't be brought about like that though. AI is so advanced and getting exponentially more advanced with each year that they'll simply know physics better than anything else and could reach through other dimensions and strangle us all at the same time kinda shit. Nothing you could do unless your guy reaches super ai first.

What, exactly, do you think the Indian government is going to do with this eye-scan information? Oh that's right, use it for nothing except identification.

Before you get extremely paranoid about an all-powerful technocracy ruling your every movement through digital control mechanisms try paying attention to how digital mechanisms in your environment work. Hint: they don't work for shit.

To construct a perfect digital dystopia would require competent people up and down the supply chain, something there is no risk of, especially in places like India.
