My only problem with it is that you end up with a lot of dead kids. If the penalty is the same for fucking a kid and fucking and killing a kid, then it's cleaner to do the latter. No witness. When they're fucking a kid, they're not thinking about consequences. They're thinking about fucking a kid. The thought of consequences comes later.
Not sure what the need for the ad hominem was, but... OK. I'm just pointing out the obvious. It's the same reason they quit making rape a capital crime. Too many rape victims were turning up dead.
