They already exist. The same ones that skim data from credit cards will likely work on these chips as they use the same RFID technology. If not, a small tweak might be all you need.

I saw this in a test market a year ago. It scans the image of your hand, nothing to do with a chip. Basically the same thing as using your fingerprint to unlock your phone to do tap to pay.

There are still valid concerns about these types of systems but midwits tend to not see those issues and get shrill about the wrong parts.
