There's a new tattoo shop that opened in my area that specializes in designs that I have, so I wanted to see how much it would cost to get my piece touched up and finished.
The owner was a MtF tranny - I think. I was more in shock than I thought I'd be because I've never seen or talked to one in person before, and the area where the shop is located is pretty conservative. Thankfully I was with my friend while I "excused myself to go outside to vape" when I actually had to leave because the laughter was building up in me!
I always thought it was just a meme - these people only exist online or in ultra-liberal cities like NYC or Portland, not in the Midwest - But now they're here. And they're definitely queer.
God Help Us All.
EDIT: I have an earth & space sleeve that I need to get touched up & finished & my friend texted me some of the pieces the owner & other artists from that shop have done & was very impressed, but after meeting with the tranny owner & the other tattoo dude, I have to pass this place up. I'm not going to risk my health and overall wellbeing for a tattoo touch up & add on. It doesn't matter how good the work is.

Second- I saw one walking down the street in a flower print summer dress and heels once. BALD head and long hair blowing in a light breeze. It was magical.
Lol, I came across one when inspecting a property with my supervisor. Opened the door and BAM there it is. Some strange amalgamation of a "man" trying to be a woman.
Naturally, it was playing Overwatch and I think it had reddit open. Thought I caught a glimpse of the icon and format on its tablet.
Living fucking stereotype.
But yeah, we opened the door and I took one glance at my supervisor and we both had a spiritual meeting of the minds for a split second. Then we got to talking and whatever trying to get through the process as fast as possible.
Got that inspection done and dusted, real dirty house, for what little was in there. Didn't come across any dilation kits or strange bullshit though. I guess it had the courtesy to hide those from the eyes of a man of God.
Shame it didn't have the courtesy to hide itself.
Got back to the office and apparently my poker face game was strong, supervisor congratulated me on it, and he's never really one to offer compliments. That's one of the few I've gotten, actually.
That inspection sucked.
Liked the million dollar house inspection more, which was soon after that one. Was some eyebleach and mindbleach. REALLY nice house. Also ran into one girl I had in class a thousand times, which was funny. Kid was sitting there and looks over like 🤨 when I came through the door.
Yup kid, this is my job. It was hilarious though because her mom and my supervisor were talking and she was standing across from me making faces and stuff trying to get me to laugh. Almost did too. Good kid. Her brother's alright too, just.... Damn he's such a high schooler. 😂

Well no shit. Tattoo shops are all over my area and most shut down after their business loans dry up. This new tattoo shop has a shit load of new stuff in it, new furniture, huge TVs, lots of lights and murals painted by artists, a ton of capeshit memorabilia (mostly DC) so I'd say a good portion of their business loan is already gone, hopefully it won't be open in a few years.
I live in a mid-sized city in the midwest and met my first tranny here 20ish years ago. I'm impressed you've managed to avoid them for so long - maybe you live in a small city or rural area? I have a friend from voat days. Last year we were in Akron NY which is a smaller town. Went to this bar and grill. MtF tranny waiter. I was furious and disgusted and wanted to leave. My buddy likes socially awkward situations and insisted we stayed. The food was really good but that was vile. The place was out of business within 6 months. The money talked.
