It's kinda of a catchy tune! I think there's a few less of them at my new location. It's also kinda nice not being in the minority any more and everyone speaking English. Good work on the recording!

Are you certain you had 'guitar' in the field? If you did, then you may have found a bug. If you found a bug, you can report it. If you report it, you might get a 'bug finder' badge. I have one of those, though I've reported more than one bug.

Like I said, it's shitty when you lose your mother. Mine died fairly young, in her early sixties. I was fucking devastated for months.

I drank a great deal. In the end, it didn't really help to drink.

So, be there for your friend. They may very well need you.

That's shitty. Though it happens to all of us.

A buddy stopped by and had been practicing his pool skills. He wanted to wager 'cause he's wanting to win some money back. He had himself a small insurance check recently and figured he'd try his chances here.

It was a profitable evening, but there wasn't any bad vibes about it. He knew the potential results. I didn't take all of his money, but that's only because he stopped betting and playing.

I don't usually play against people unless there's money at stake.

I don't give lessons for free.

Funny you should mention that. My son just got a pool table a few days ago and has placed it in the back building. I beat him once on it. But we both really suck. I would not put my money on myself in a game of pool. No way in hell

I used to subsidize my income with billiard games. I can play all of 'em, including snooker, with a high degree of skill. It's not bragging - I've put a zillion hours into getting good at it.

My table is an old coin-op Brunswick, full size of course, single-slate. I get it refinished every 6 months so that it is a perfect playing surface. I picked it intentionally, due to the durability and quality. It's meant to last many, many years with many, many games played on it.

I can do the work myself, but I hire it out. A guy from a local-ish (down in Augusta) comes by every six months to ensure it's level, replace the felt, replace any broken bits (like worn bumpers), etc...

I'm a bit picky. I have cue sticks that are probably worth about the same amount as your car.

With straight pool, I can generally run two or three racks. In 9 ball, you need to stitch me or you're not going to get many turns. Sometimes you won't get a turn at all. The same is true with 8 ball.

I play pool almost as well as I play guitar. I'm not quite pro level, but on any given day I can beat the professionals. If that makes sense?

It's the best thing in his life for a long time. So, he needs that. This is a good thing for him, even if it ends badly and she steals all his money.

If I don't find the thread, it usually just finds me. Voat - Poal - Voat to wherever it goes and whatever the fuck someone names it next; Upgoat. LOL I wasn't a constant during all the moves, but always inspired by the great people who have shown up to contribute when I did catch them.

I can tell you now, that I'm not moving to Colorado or going to shack up with the previous woman of interest. My temporary place has great Internet and I should be able to do some recording pretty much when I want. Maybe I'll try to find some old friends, while I am nearby, to jam with too.

A group of friends to jam with is great. I'm lucky. I can just jam with the missus and I also know a ton of other musicians. So, finding a jam session is pretty easy. Considering how remote I am, that's a good thing.

Awesome tone! I recently picked up a Traynor YCS100H-2 with the traynor 4x12 cab with V30s. All still brand new with tags from 2009. The footswitch was even still in the box. A guy I know, his dad bought it (ran a small sound company and had a band) and sadly fell ill before he ever used it. Landed that for 600 bucks!

Part of me wants to just flip it but it but it's the nicest newest amp I've got. Although I did get a 1966 Vibrolux Reverb. That deserves its own post though and I should show that to yall soon. I'm rambling, great playing as usual!

I work with many hospice patients.
The nicest thing you can do once she is receiving morphine round the clock is to play songs she loved while young and happy.
Our hearing is the last thing to go. Put her in good memories. Not silence.

I haven't written any new songs for my space rock opera but I still record some- I just practice and try to get creative.

I recently picked up some old tape recorders, a tascam Porta 02 mkII. Lol. And a yamaha mt1x that has a common problem with the mechanism I might take it to get repaired. I'm just trying to get a hang of the physical process and see how it is. Anyway, I am trying to come up with a couple of songs from the bad guy's perspective. This 30 second clip is from one of those sessions and I might work more at it to turn into a song for the bad guy.

Interesting! I have been meaning to check out some of the archived stuff of the space rock opera music. It might be a good thing for me to accomplish while I'm between permanent residences. I think I saw quite a few in the archives I saved and backed up, so that shouldn't be too hard to find!

Hey! I wanted to cover this song in one the bands I was in, but I moved and ruined that chance. LOL I like the tune, it just didn't fit with subsequent bands, so I missed a good opportunity to cover a legendary song.
