Why do people hate the band Coldplay ?

I understand maybe disliking them, but some people have this visceral burning hatred of them.
Their songs don't seem particularly woke or gay. What gives ?

Coldplay started as a super soft rock band that quickly devolved into soft pop music. If you listen to all of their hits for the past 15 years, it sounds like it’s just the singer.

I remember watching the Apple Mac Book 2011 video and Coldplay’s music played in the background. “Para para.. para dise,
… I was like “yea, this is gay.”

Feels silly making fun of Cold Play when every suburban kid is addicted to mumble rap. Faggots.

I agree about "para para dise". I thought the same. I like a lot of their stuff but their lyrics aren't the best imo and sometimes, as with para...para they seem to string out a word as if to say they can't think of a lyric. Can't give another example at the moment.
