I wouldn't be surprised. I don't even think it's new news. I think BG made some kind of comment about that attack vector years ago. Using bugs, but also using food streams. And maybe the synergy was to use both together (eat za bugs!). BG has been buying up farmland. Eventually this could result in a monopoly where his benefactors get to control what goes in the food we eat, or the wildlife that we are exposed to.

I think the banana festival thing here is just a bit of fun, but the forum sliding concern could be addressed by designing the feeds to have optional filters that can exclude posts with user-selected keywords ("banana" or just "bana" in this case).
