I just noticed this because I was in a 99 cent store where young girls and boys were lining up to buy candy to take the movie. And they were all dressed this way and not just one group but multiple groups coming in.
Apparently it's gone around the schools that this is how you're supposed to dress to go to see this movie.
And of course it was the good looking people who were dressing this way because fatties don't look good in super short shorts.
Anyway the movie is a huge phenomenon regardless of whatever messages it has. I'm not keeping track. I don't know.
But I'm just commenting on the shift away from the baggy ghetto clothes that have been the fashion really since the 90s gang culture that wore them to hide their guns.
Personally I'm glad to see the gradual demise of the huge baggy basketball shorts that came into being because black people in ghettos were hiding their guns and baggy pants.
So we're going to actually see some women's legs in the future and that's going to spawn a desire to lose weight as people want to get healthy. mark my words.
Finally we get away from ghetto culture clothes.
And if it took this Hollywood movie to do it regardless of its message I say thank you.
In a way does Barbie movie seems to be visually at least a celebration of attractive white people.
Frankly I think that's a good thing regardless of whatever other messages the movie may be sending which I'm not aware of.

Your argument is as stupid as saying Star Wars costumes will be the next clothing trend because a new movie came out.
