I think it's because Hebrew didn't have separate symbols for numbers. Instead of numerals (12345...) they just reused their alphabet for basic calculation (A=1, B=2...). So they didn't develop math much, and the math they did develop had a lot of language overlap. So they tend to have more numerology, and more readily recognize arbitrary patterns like that and place undo weight on the coincidence. They also make use of it to make coded statements only others equally obsessed with numerology might pick up on.

Now comes a mind fuck connection. Superstition about vampires includes the belief that they are obsessed with numerology. To the point that if you threw a cup of rice on the floor, they'd have to stop to count all the grains. Infact, Sesame Street's character "The Count" lampoons this by having their counting obsessed character be a vampire.

I think there's a good chance the evil, unhuman, leach on humanity superstition that is a vampire; was given the numerology characteristic because society associated it with evil, unhuman, leach upon society type populations and cultures. Society thought jews were evil, so they gave their superstitious monsters jew characteristics. It's quite interesting to think about.
