I'm sure that guy is being a dick, but it does bring up something worth mentioning. When you buy land you are just buying a piece of paper in a county court house. We all do still have a lot of vulnerability even if we buy land somewhere in the middle of nowhere because we unfortunately can only really own things in their system. So in a lot of ways you can't just run from our system as a solution. I know that's why a lot of people try to buy land. Maybe that's not this guy's motive but that vulnerability exists in any case.
