I haven't looked it over super close but I think it restricts the courts' judicial review over legislation. Which somehow is always 'anti-democratic' according to the left. Unelected judges are supposed to have final say over laws passed by lawmakers actually voted into office by the people or it's not a democracy. What liberals favor is not democracy so much as kritarchy, or rule by judges.
