Yeah, I get it. It's kind of a nostalgic and learned pleasure. It's something I grew up with, so there will probably always be a soft spot in my heart for it. That said, I despise most of the 'country' music that's been produced for decades now. I'm not even a huge fan of this song, musically speaking. I like the attitude. I'm sure I'm playing in to a number of principles of social engineering, i.e., let them hear the things they like sung aloud. Jersey-wearing shit, for sure. Eh, if we can't identify with anything without being corrupted, I don't know how I'll make it to the grave pure.

Towns in northern California, Oregon, Washington set up road blocks during the "Summer of Love" when rioting and wildfire arson was happening. Towns had their young men come out at night, armed, and fill the streets. Tiny "test" groups of Antifa, etc., had their shit kicked in when they tried "protesting" during the day.

We have fought back, we will fight back. Fuck the demoralization bullshit.

Absolute free speech is a fairy tale. There is no stable society in history that is this fluid. There have to be certain things you can't question or act in discordance with. The goal of a reasonable 'free speech society' is to figure out how to positively MINIMIZE what can't be said, while whatever they pick manages to preserve the necessary order. The goal of a 'free speech society' is not to permit absolutely everything, but to find what minimum set of things there is that preserves society and maximizes what we can say.

It isn't easy. I don't have the answer. But I know you don't have a nation if your nation upholds every person's right to burn its own flag in public places. Obviously, no just nation could stop you a priori from burning the flag. But neither should a just nation stop you from having your face pummeled if you do it.

I grow tired of people who want to make the present debate about something it isn't. We can understand the situation with a simple model. There are two groups: X and Y. X wants A to be the set of things you can't say/question. Group Y wants B to be the set of things you can't say/question. A does not equal B. So X and Y fight.

We're going to lose this war if we think that what we're fighting for is absolute free speech. That isn't what we want. That's what gets us into this bullshit to begin with. It's why lewdness has proliferated every form of media, because absolute free speech is the slippery slope into degeneracy and tolerance.
