You see this everywhere. Non-answers. I don't understand how this works, but it works. And the people in the rooms where these non-answers are given don't call it out. They accept these non-answers as answers, and that causes non-answer-giving to persist. You see it at every level of government. Utter avoidance of the point of the question. An exercise - a game - in attempting to say something that sounds coherent but doesn't give anybody information they were actually seeking. It's like the Olympics of lying.

And, in truth, this would not be possible if women were not in politics. That's not the same as saying that shifty kikery doesn't exist among men. Of course it does. But this shit won't fly in an environment of all men, where men can be men and say "FUCK YOU! WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT YOU SHIFTY KIKE?"

When you add women to the mix, the rules of the game change completely. People will see this as woman hatred, but it isn't. It's recognition of the fact that human beings (in general) have incentives to act badly; not answering people's questions, when those people deserve to know the answers, is bad. Certain environments make it harder to be bad. A mixed-gender environment makes it harder to be good.

Take a sports team for example. Or a street gang. If a male gets out of line, whether verbally or physically there is the acceptance of violence as underlying everything. It's at the bottom of all shakedowns. Add women to the mix and that's gone. Now, if you universalize the competitive rules, there's just talking, for everybody. Talk, talk, talk. If you start lying, boy are we going to be rude to you!

You have to have a context in which the implicit assumption is: we'll talk to you first, but if you do this shit again, we're going to beat your ass. Like, you were lying there. Just now, you lied. I asked a question about flight delays, and you gave us no information at all. I'm asking the question again. Don't answer the same way. If you very obviously demonstrate utter lack of respect for us again, we're going to hurt you.

In a world of all talk, you'll get shit like in the OP, or what we see every day in congress in the US. Some oversight committee whose job is to regulate group X is interviewing representative of group X. They can't do anything except ask POINTED QUESTIONS (HOLY FUCK, POINTED QUESTIONS!), or enough to fuel YouTube videos: "Senator Y destroys Agent X: SALTY TEARS!"
