We are being lied to about inflation

submitted by 2Drunk to whatever 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 11:18:23 ago (+41/-1)     (whatever)

Consumer prices since pedo joe's handlers stole the election have doubled or tripled and there is no end in sight. Toilet paper is almost $1 per roll for the cheap stuff. Food has double or tripled in the last 2 years. The cost of meat is out of control. The only thing that hasn't kept pace is the cost for alcohol and my guess is to keep people drunk and stupid. I may drink more than your average alcoholic but I'm not completely stupid.

Inflation is way worse than the 12 or 15% the MSM (jew) has told us.

I don't care about any inflation.

End fucking PRPPERTY TAXES NOW! COMPLETELY AND FOREVER WE ARE NOT RENTERS YOU COCK SUCKKMG JEW KIKE FUCKS

[ - ] RedBarchetta 1 point 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 17:02:22 ago (+1/-0)

Historically, the original intent of the Republic, a taxpayer was defined by: Land Owner, Tobacco Grower and Alcohol sales. Look at how fucked up we got. There was no surtaxes to be imposed. Today we have Income tax, sales tax, gas tax, tax increases because of bullshit reasons. Taxes on top of taxes.

So, Land tax, is the original tax.

[ - ] Belfuro 0 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 18:18:39 ago (+0/-0)

Import duties / were the original way states funded themselves and hilariously what Americans still think they had a civil war over when the "freemasons" broke them off as a private fiefdomfrom brothers in uk

[ - ] Clubberlang 1 point 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 20:47:23 ago (+1/-0)

Especially on property that's paid off.

It makes no sense having to continue to pay the jew on something that's yours.

When you pay off a car do you pay chassis tax?

[ - ] TheGreatWar 0 points 11 monthsJul 17, 2023 14:01:37 ago (+0/-0)

Yes. It's called personal property tax and in e.g. Virginia you need to register your car with that tax whether you drive it or not. Many other states have a kind of wealth tax on businesses. Florida has PPT, where you pay a percentage of the value of certain capital. United Airlines built a huge maintenance facility at the Denver airport but had to pull out because the taxes on its parts inventory was too high. Taxing the value of property is well established. Sometimes there are exceptions for merchandise inventory or other things that would be silly to repeatedly tax. But if you don't meet the exemptions to the letter you're going to pay some percentage of your net worth every year in tax. This is why JIT inventory and drop shipping have been so successful. You get taxed for the capital to maintain the inventory, and sometimes you even get taxed on the inventory itself.

More importantly than property taxes: Income tax. Which pays no one.

[ - ] SithEmpire 0 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 21:06:51 ago (+0/-0)

Defend your property against that tortious practice, then?

[ - ] HeyJames 10 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 11:57:23 ago (+10/-0)

Good. As the supermarket becomes less pleasurable, perhaps we may see a revolting of the lemmings once they realize their serfdom. All revolutions begin at the dinner table.

[ - ] Belfuro 2 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 15:53:28 ago (+2/-0)

They are also now hiding, faking, the m2 money supply.

Food consumption in Germany has fallen 15% this year. That's a staggering decline.

But yes, true inflation is between 30-50% for items that cannot easily price fix.

Better get self sufficient soon
Their goals are pretty clear.

[ - ] gaperglory 5 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 17:52:34 ago (+5/-0)

Get your faggot asses out of the city. It's where they want you so you can own nothing. Move out to the country where I am. Nothing but 2.25 Sq miles of land my family owns. It's heaven. We grow all our own fruit vegetables and beef, and our cows hay too.
If u live in a city, you're either too poor to fix it immediately, or too stupid to realize how fucked you are.
May you all be as fortunate as us country boys.

They announced last year that they would be changing the calculation process for the CPI.

It used to be measured over a two-year period of time to develop a trend line.

Now its a one year. Half the data makes it easy to manipulate the trend line.

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey 3 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 12:53:03 ago (+3/-0)

Well yeah, if a gallon of milk is one dollar today and two dollars tomorrow, we have 100% inflation overnight. What a bunch of niggers. This is why I don’t believe anything I hear or read and only half of what I see.

[ - ] StealthNinjaTaliban 1 point 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 14:30:44 ago (+1/-0)

Thats called a “basket of goods” and im sure you can guess that they change whats in the “basket” to create desired outcomes.

Last year the weighted CPI equated the electricity to power our civilization with alcohol and tobacco. Both around 9% of the total

[ - ] dontbeaphaggot 0 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 13:53:47 ago (+0/-0)

Prior to this cone, the last change to the he cpi calc was ~2012 or so, after the MBS meltdown, and under obummer it was amended to include a bunch 'jobs' in the pedowood industry, and a bunch of other crap changes to hide the real inflation #.

[ - ] Nozyedys 0 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 15:25:05 ago (+0/-0)

We can still calculate it on our own. Official statistics are for the goyim.

[ - ] Spaceman84 6 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 11:21:31 ago (+7/-1)

Collusion and price fixing. Suppliers are getting paid less for raw materials while retail prices go up. It’s the middle man who is setting revenue records.

My 10 year cell phone bill went up so I called to see what these extra charges were. According to the telco it’s inflation. Not sure what the hell has inflated in a cell phone company. Pieces of shit

[ - ] Horrux 2 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 14:45:08 ago (+2/-0)

Corporations _ALWAYS_ take advantage. If OPEC opens the valves and floods the international trade markets with cheap oil but there's inflation, your price at the pump will go up, "because there's inflation". And later when there's no inflation, the moment OPEC reduces production by the tiniest amount, your price at the pump will go up again "because OPEC are reducing supplies".

All corporations do this. And all corporations have top executives that gang up on the rest of the corporation and its customer base and decide "This year we'll grow sales by 4% and profits by 6%". Where do you think that "growth" comes from? That's right, from that extra workload on your unraised wages.

This is not capitalism. It is disguised slavery.

[ - ] prototype 1 point 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 17:51:59 ago (+1/-0)

This is not capitalism.

Best explanation I've seen yet.

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey 1 point 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 12:54:27 ago (+1/-0)

The price of gas and trucks and wages and employment taxes to send people out to work on the towers? Hell, who knows. There is infrastructure maintenance costs, but again, who knows.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 11 monthsJul 17, 2023 04:36:45 ago (+0/-0)

i did a us mobile 6 month free promo, then mint mobile, now i get a free 1 year service for signing up for home internet so i'll do that for a year then go back to mint or maybe pick up another freebie

[ - ] Clubberlang 0 points 11 monthsJul 17, 2023 22:30:00 ago (+0/-0)

You find these deals online?

I ended up signing up with tmobile and they keep increasing the price.

I'm considering going to a land line these Cell prices are stupid.

[ - ] Kozel 0 points 11 monthsJul 17, 2023 22:49:12 ago (+0/-0)

I find most of them on slickdeals. https://slickdeals.net/deals/cellphone-providers/?sort=newest

In regards to the landline, you can get a google voice number and an Obihai device and have free landline as long as you have internet. https://www.obitalk.com/info/home

your landline phone just plugs into the device and it sip forwards or whatever to it your google voice calls. works just like a landline but no 911.

Lol no shit really?
What an astute observation

A couple corrections however.
We are constantly told 2%, not 15.
Reality is closer to 15% - 15% means prices double ever 5 years.
Food has not doubled or tripled in the last year or two.

You are also a complete fucking retard.

While prices have risen, you cheapen your argument with the over-exaggeration. My food/household goods budget is roughly 25% more vs 2019. I may have altered my shopping habits some too, but still eat good steak/pork (usually 4h animals I split with family).

It absolutely is NOT double or triple the cost.

Alcohol was kept cheap in Russia during the Bolshevik takeover. Energy prices really are the main driver of inflation because energy is used to manufacture products/produce and ship them. If the energy costs more, then production and transportation costs go up along with it. Energy consumption is the main driver of inflation, you just need to look at who consumes the most to see who is driving up inflation. It's why they care about CO2, they know their industries are the biggest energy consumers and as a result biggest driver of inflation.

They know their energy consumption is unsustainable, but they don't care, they'll just pass the buck on to us.

We may see deflation if the money supply continues to shrink (it hasn’t ever shrunk except prior to the Great Depression):

The government's inflation numbers have always been funny money. They pick and choose what is included when it's convenient.

Did you mean to say…. EVERYTHING.

[ - ] _Obrez 0 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 21:19:04 ago (+0/-0)

The numbers are probably relatively accurate, the economic and statistical literacy are intentionally low.

1% inflation per month for 12 months isn't 12% inflation year over year. The 1st month is 1%, the second month is 1% of the new 100% which is 101% of the previous month so it's more like 102.1%, the third month is 103.21% and so on. In our situation we are looking at 7-15% month over month inflation which rapidly balloons costs, requiring wage growth ballooning costs again recursively even after inflation stops echoes of it in knock on market effects will reverberate for many years. When we are spending a trillion a month and printing most of that inflation ain't stopping. In this situation land lords get targeted because they are best protected from market fluctuation and are seen as vultures, and governments try to set price controls.

We are in an economic death spiral, CBDC isn't just about political control it's also about not having pictures of wheelbarrows full of cash to buy groceries.

Bag of dog food went from $45 to $100 here. My old Costco trips used to be $200-$300 MAYBE if I got a bunch a steaks. Now I'm buying salad shit and chicken breast over $500...yeah it's out of control

The food is from the feed store, I have to get blue buffalo shit because my dog is allergic to all the cheap shit. The local butcher is fucking $10-$20 per lb more than Costco. I don't have enough money to grow a garden, I already spent a shitload just trying to maintain my lawn, and it's still brown in spots. I buy my fruits and veggies at the local farmers market, it doesn't seem to be much better than the super market and it is an hour round trip to get there and back.

[ - ] totes_magotes 0 points 11 monthsJul 16, 2023 12:12:57 ago (+0/-0)

Alcohol prices and availability always lags behind current trends because of how long most of it needs to sit, age, or go through the process of creation, bottling, distribution, and selling. Further, because an alcoholic can die from straight quitting, there's a higher priority to keep it available.

The only reason the american war of independence happened was because most of the colonists were at various levels of inebriation at any given time.
Tends to simplify things a bit when a whole populace can't overthink how they're getting fucked. Cuts right through the state's bullshit.
