If some one made a super light but safe version of a Beatle today but a little like a truck with some storage for small work with a 100 horsepower diesel engine that could get close to 40 miles an hour with the absolute most basic things to make it up to safety standards and the profit was capped at about 1000 dollars you would sell millions of them world wide and some here...

Any thoughts goats or even a truck version? Eith some limited carrying capacity maybe 1000 pounds in thr bed or 1500... I think this can be done.

Yep. The minimal car that you can put together that meets safety and emissions regulations is built. And then they add all the stuff that makes it sell better but doesn't cost too much. You could make a car without a radio, but marginally people want that. It's like a Corrola GR, and it's 30 grand. You can't sell a car without anti-lock brakes, which are more expensive.

Alibaba has motorcycle/tricycle dump trucks starting for around $700. The bigger ones can seriously haul. Gasoline is readily available in 3rd world shitholes so it doesn't have to be diesel.
