I remember being taught that residents used bricks and material from one of the camps (not sure which one) to rebuild after the war. Not sure if they still teach that because it would imply that jews rebuilt them and that would get people thinking

Jews were kept in these safety camps through the end of the war.
As a result they survived when millions and millions of Europeans in cities and armies were wiped out by the conflict.
The Jews in the safety camps were not forced to join the military like other Europeans in the country's they were residing in.
They were given a free pass in the safety camps where they were housed for free and fed for free and had multiple sources of entertainment like pools theater and other things.
I find this highly insensitive and offensive. I’ll have you know, my grandfather was severely injured, almost died at auschwitz. He barely survived the fall from the guard tower!
We've been trying to get them to tell us which gender they identify as so we can choose the appropriate reveal smoke color, but they just won't stop identifying as deceased.
