I had always assumed in the movie that whoever pressed the detonator would be responsible for either blowing up both boats or it would blow up their own boat. Joker is portrayed as a agent of chaos. Why would he follow the rules.

I am reminded of a cartoon scene in batman where he is trying to think up what to do next. When he commented that his idea is too Riddler for his taste as a derogatory put down of the scheme as a whole.

But yea whoever wrote this seems to forget about twoface as what he describes is more up his alley.

In the end it's all a bunch of bullshit though. A conversation only worthy of discussion by schoolyard children while they play games or such. The same as any other super hero movie. Not something worth getting emotional invested in as it is as one might say... Fake and gay.
