If the house is really serious about this they just need to cut off the funding for the f****** FBI. Just cut it off now and let all those people have no salaries and no way to pay their bills until somebody does what the hell they're supposed

And I don't see in the Constitution that the administration gets to say you can't respond to Congress because as an active investigation.

We all know now that this active investigation rules is quite frankly just a ruse to have an excuse to not provide information that is properly requested by Congress so that they can delay and delay and delay with the hopes that people will lose interest or a new Congress will be elected. Everybody knows that.

And that's the problem no ones serious. They want the place to implode. It's part of the manifesto.

If the house is really serious about this they just need to cut off the funding for the f****** FBI.

Would that it were just that simple.

The willful and knowing behavior that you see being displayed by the various and all-too-sundry alphabet agencies is what you get when they all know goddamm good and well that they are no longer dependent upon the US Congress as their sole source of funding.

One of their first priorities, established almost immediately after their creation, was to establish alternative sources of funding so they could break the leash.

They lie, cheat and steal because they know they can, and they know that, since no one can exercise any authority over them, they will get away with it.

Appropriations made in the congressional budget for the CIA and FBI are just a fig leaf that has been intended to keep on hiding that fact for decades. You could zero out ALL official tax-payer funding for those agencies completely from the official government budget and they would just keep right on going as if nothing had ever happened.

There comes a time when you must be willing to shoot the dog. Burn it all down, scatter the ashes, and sow salt there.

And I don't see in the Constitution

It's just so adorable that you still believe that the US Constitution still pertains to our current form of government. The only time the Constitution is referenced in DC is as a punchline or as a doormat (or toilet paper). "Hey somebody tell the cleaning staff that we need more constitution in the men's washroom."

Ooooohhh now I get it.

The cocaine didn't belong to anyone because the phone data was corrupted.

No further information needed.

Going forward this is how all investigations will be handled.
