Looks we have lots of very confused Europeans: majority would be "open to marrying a person from another European country", but at the same time most want zero or max 5% of person's country population being immigrants from another European country... well interesting anonymous poll.
Yeah, true. Each nation has their own pile of grievances somehow frozen in different particular time, often not able to see over, and this is exploited a lot.

Here let me explain to you OP.
The concept of "brother wars" was completely foreign to Europran nations of Catholic culture. Wars were fought but it was mostly a show of strength and casualties were minimal compared to other places in the world such as China.
Protestant nations when emerged started declining the noble spirit of Catholic nations, resulting in torture, maiming and even the foreign concept of waging war against your own nation (Vendean War). Catholics tend to get along better with Orthodox Christians, which view Protestantism as atomizing and alienating to your own nation; the bar is set too low.

There were not enough options for the Ukranian-Russian conflict. The only option was pick a side. What about the leaders are shit-heads. I stand by both the Ukrainian and Russian people.
you would be amazed how small can be group of people needed to entirely change things, build or ruin the state. so any life is precious, when you are dead you can do zero shit, neither strait nor cunning. well you can play with light bulbs and knock on walls, but that's another topic.
There's more confusion than just that. Most voted against brother wars, yet support the land-grabbing invaders in the bloodiest European brother war since WW2.

Yeah that! Some pan-European solidarity in Ukraine is going on, I was thinking just that. Only, in east Ukraine live Russians from the beginning, so land grabber invaders are actually we.

Given centuries of European wars historical grievances run deep. Everyone still seems to hate the French, for instance.
I was reading an article earlier today about a sectarian incident in Northern Ireland. Proddies and Catholics will always hate each other.
