My friend let all his plants die except his onions, carrots, and taters.

The swastika has been removed as well because his neighbors kept kvetching.

They could see it from the ground? Im surprised. Thought it was going to need an aerial view. Fuck the neighbors. Theres always a chance next year to make it bigger.

This year sucks. Weather is wreaking havoc on everything. Heavy rains and then severe sun. I'm guessing new hire at haarp. Ive been half tempted to run a sheet over the main area. The peas are absolutely frying in this sun.

It’s july. Peas are a winter/spring plant. Peas will not set fruit when it is hot.

We dont get spring. Its winter 7/8 months out of 12 and then summer.

Most varieties of peas need about 60 days of growth before harvest. But they will stop growing and not produce flowers or pods once temperatures get above 85°F, as often happens in June.

Your melons will love the heat, but peas hate it. Any yellow crookneck squash? You can pick multiple fingerlings daily (almost) in the summer heat.

What type of melons are you growing?

What varieties? Just Brandywine tomato for me. Hungarian Round for a sweet pepper, and around 10 hot peppers. Plus some herbs and others.

The bed is on a slight hill so the angle is perfect for those walking by to see it from the sidewalk.

He bitched out and turned it into a giant, misshappened S.

Then he never watered his plants nor did he put up fencing or shaders.

When he was lamenting the loss I reassured him that there is always next season and these are lessons learned.

I don't want him discouraged, so I'm going to help him more thoroughly next season as I'll be able to visit more often.

I will post the swastika pics once he gives me the all clear, he's paranoid now lol
