Fedora's development changes are always interesting to keep an eye out for, and a new change proposal is something similar.

The Red Hat Display Systems team, has suggested a new change that would allow for collecting anonymous usage data from Fedora Workstation systems.

IBM is doing everything they can to kill Linux. They already killed CentOS so you can't practically have pre-prod environments. This will be the death of Fedora which will kill off the remaining hobbyists who use RH family distros... and telemetry in prod? Not even diversity hires are that stupid so this will be the death of RHEL as well. An entire branch of the Linux family tree will wither and die.

How much did the DS have to pay people off to get them to sabotage such a valuable technical asset?

Who cares if IBM kills off the Red Hat branch? It's always been a corporate whore distro. Debian is there waiting. Plenty of other distros too.
