Yeah you absolutely have to dump a shitload of hoppes or CLP to neutralize all the salts. If you don't, you'll literally see rust within 24 hours. If I'm shooting the Russian shit, I always bring the hoppes with me to the range and dump it down the barrel the minute I'm done. I spent about 2 hours grinding the rust out of my receiver because I waited a day to clean em.
