Sometimes, sort of. Ancestral rights are recognized to a degree.

Mostly, Hawaiians got fucked out of their land, and I don't see that changing. However, it's worth noting that only royal-ish Hawaiians would have literal ownership rights. There is another sort of right of vassalage that is recognized. But prior to white people taking it all, the land was owned by several families related and loyal to the royal family. Also AFAIK those families at least to the degree they've not been diluted are still very wealthy.
