My grandmother owned a 1961 green beetle. I let her know I loved that car. I fixed it for her. I was also sent away for military reasons often. I’d come home and visit grandma. She loved it, so I did it. Just to see how happy it made her. She was not rich and had no wealth but the joy on her face when I showed up was so beautiful. When she died I was off in a foreign land making those people suffer. I came home and found she had died. Her home and house and everything she owned was gone. My greedy siblings sold everything. All I have left is the good memories I have of grandma. They sold that gem of a car for $200. It was worth thousands. I would have never sold it. It was my memory of grandma.
